Remember when we were young and 30 years old seemed old??
This Legends section is dedicated to those uuhhmm “old timers” that have basically stuck out the middle finger to the mentality that you have to grow up and just do grown up stuff after 30!
These are the guys I grew up reading about in the pages of Skateboarder and Thrasher Magazine through the 70s and 80s, the ones who would lay down the foundation of inspiration for agression and style when they were young. If they didn’t inspire you back then, they damn should be inspiring you now that many of them are pushing well into their 40s and 50s after decades of being broken, battered but never beaten!!!
Since the beginning of bowlrider.com, I have had the opportunity to meet and shoot damn near every one of my old skateboarding heroes. It really doesn’t amaze me or even surprise me that these inspirations to many of us are still skating…
there was a reason they inspired us back then..
watching them skate today just solidifies that reason.
